Excellent - everyone needs this app
With iCloud on the horizon you may not know why you need this app - the reason is not because sync software loses all contacts but because every so often individual contacts that you add on your iPhone, Outlook, etc. simply disappear. You may have a copy in the clouds but a specific edit may be lost. This app lets you save periodic backups (like time machine) from which you can find, copy, and paste the critical missing info. You don't need a cloud, just somewhere (eg a CD) to store excel files.

Nie wieder Probleme mit der Bearbeitung und Synchronisation von Kontaktdaten. Die App funktioniert prima und völlig problemlos. Man kann die Kontakte auf dem PC bearbeiten, Bilder hinzufügen, die Reihenfolge zwischen Telefon-, Fax- und Mobil-Nummern bestimmen und auch neue Kontakte hinzufügen. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und kann sie nur empfehlen!

Forma muito prática de transferir os contatos. Comigo funcionou perfeitamente, mesmo com muitos dados (+ de 1.000 contatos).

Does just what it says. The interface isn't quite as sleek as some other apps, but the functionality is all there. I can now easily send a customized text to a group of hundreds of contacts
at once!

When are you going to release an ExcelSMS Jailbreak version? It's been a while since ios6 came out. It's a pain in the ass to send personalized messages one-by-one. I've already paid for this app a few months ago and I can't get what I've paid for.

2 questions:
1) Can you add the function - setting time intervals of sending SMS? For example: “every day since 10:00 till 20:00”; or “only workdays since 09:00 till 18:00”. I mean the opportunity to load the ‘xls’ file and start program in any time and leave phone switch on, but it start sending SMS and abort sending in fixed time.
2) Can you add the function – read SMS from text file (txt) or comma separated text file (csv), new line – new SMS? For example:
“9999 9991; See you at meeting on Friday. Call me for details. 5555 5555 John”
“9999 9992; See you at meeting on Friday. Call me for details. 5555 5555 John”
“9999 9993; See you at meeting on Friday. Call me for details. 5555 5555 John”

(Android version) Please add option to read xlsx files.. I have big live newsletter form made using google drive and only way to export table is in xlsx format. Every time I need to send a newsletter I first have to download the file to my PC and convert it to xls. Thanks.

You have to launch the system's build-in Message app to see the process and results of sending. Because the ordinary group messaging is sent at a time, not one by one and the 3rd party can't monitor the process of sending due to the apple's restriction. i found there is no indicator to see when am i finish sending the message everytime.
Like 1st msg i send to 100 person.
but i dont really know when can i start the next msg again.
if there any possibility to do a "sending report" or indicator ?

Hi David,
Please check if there are so many messages stored in your iPhone. You can reduce the "Max # per message" on the app's setting page. The default is 100, you can try 50.

Hi,
I recently purchased the full version of your ExcelContacts App,
I followed all the instructions provided to export all my contacts to my PC,
And when I go to open the excel file on my PC none of my contacts appear,
although the images will appear in the images folder
I currently have an iphone 4s with iOS 6 installed,
I have enabled excelcontacts in privacy settings as per advised on your website and this did not fixed the issue,
I really like the idea of this app and would really appreciate if you could provide a solution

If it's the first time to run the app V2.5.1 on iOS 6.0, ExcelContacts option does not appear on the Privacy->Contacts setting page.
1) We already submitted the emergency update to App Store for review. It will come soon.
2) If you can find the old version of ExcelContacts on your computer, please delete the 2.5.1 from your iPhone, then sync in iTunes to downgrade the app.

Thanks for your bug report.
The app (ExcelSMS) have to read message and recipients from the excel file, it only knows the number of rows. it does not know how many recipients are there during reading. So the number appeared after "Preparing" is the count of rows, not the count of recipients.

Hi there! I found a minor bug :D When I import file with 17 contacts. After import the short note appears and it says Preparing 19/19 (I believe it counts all the rows in list).. Right after that when you send messages it says Composing 1/17 so this part is fine :D

Hi! When can we expect compatibility with excel 2007/2010 files?
I was using google docs (because of its capability to have live forms so other users could "sign in" for SMS newsletter) to edit the table and then mail the latest and always uptodate version to my phone.. but since few days I cant edit xls files anymore on google drive, only 2007/2010 formats.. damn. :(

1000 messages every day? There are so many messages stored on your iPhone, it's the major challenge.
Maybe you can try ExcelSMS JB, it can send messages without user interaction and does not store messages on your iPhone. but it can only run on jailbroken iPhone.

If you want to send personalized sms without user interaction, you have to jailbreak your iPhone, install ExcelSMS for jailbreak. It will be available soon on our website.

Aha found it! It asks you to confirm each sms if youre using fields like dynamic name but if im using 'static' same message than it sends it directly to multiple contacts by pressing send only once.

Sorry for wrong info, after reinstall the app works great. Can you make an option so you dont need to confirm each sms? Like other group sms programs have. Otherwise this is best option for me - tracking members from forum, exporting the changes to excel and sending sms notifications :) thanx for your work.

Sorry that the app cannot to be used as an excel program. You have to open and edit it using other apps or on your PC. When you import, you can put the import excel file in the File Sharing. Here is the guide: http://www.samapp.net/excelcontacts-faq-en/

You are right. The way to sync contacts and photos with google is vcf file. We will upgrade the app, add the feature that can export contacts to a vcf file.

Regarding #51, I have one question as I purchased the app today.
I have 2000 contacts and some of them have photos.
This app can beautifully export/import contacts and edit them in excel program as i want.
However, I found that I cannot handle photos in excel spreadsheet. Photos are exported in separate files and from that point, i don't know how to handle jpeg files in excel in order to import them from google contacts.
The only way to seemlessly transfer iphone contacts to google contacts with photos is to export them in vcf format which contains photo files and also can be imported from google contacts.
What I really really care is to transfer iphone contacts into google contacts with photos and groups maintained, which unfortunately seems to be impossible in this app.
