1. Generally the excel file should look something like the following:

All columns are optional except for the Mobile column.
2. You can get a template from the app . just click the "Export Template" button on [Import SMS] page. the app will generate a template file which contains all the contacts in your iPhone .

Yes , it can . For example , you can type "Hi {first name}, Welcome to my dinner party." in the SMS text message. The app will replace the {first name} tag with the first name of the recipient and personalized the message.

Yes, the app can send messages to any mobile phones , you just need to add these mobile phones in the Excel file , then import it on [Import SMS] page.
Q4: Can the app send messages to all my iPhone contacts ?
Yes, the app can do. When the app ask you if you want to send messages to the contacts in your iPhone on [Send SMS] page, you have to click the Yes button, then the app will load all contacts in your iPhone . After that you can choose groups or individual contacts , type the message and click the Send button.
Q5: Can the app send a message to the recipients in an excel file ?
Yes, the app can read all recipients from the excel file. First you click the "Continue" button on [Import SMS] page, choose the excel file, the app will read the message and the recipients from the excel file , then you can modify the message and click the Send button. In this way you can reuse the excel file without editting and importing the excel file on your computer.
Q6: Can the app send sms in background ?
No, there's no way to do this due to the restriction by Apple . You need to confirm each SMS.
